The Cubs stop the frustrations

Sean Marshall pitched very well as usual but the Cubs gave him some help today. Derosa hit a grand slam, Soriano almost went for the cycle. The Cubs shut down the Braves 10 to 1 and hope to take the winning into Milwaukee.

Sean Marshall pitched 6 innings of work and struck 8 walked 1 and gave up only 1 run. Marshall has been pitching as well as he did last year. Today the Cubs gave him a bunch of run support. Mark Derosa started the 1st inning by hitting a grand slam. Soriano hit his 6th homerun of the year in the second inning. Derek Lee matched Soriano by getting number 6th in the 3rd inning. The Cubs tacked on some additional runs in 5th by getting some key hits to score runs. This was the Cubs team that was put together. The Cubs are suppose to do this more often. Oh! Nothing was in the E box either.

No one cares how they did it or why they did it but they need to do it more often. Especially with the up coming series against the Brew crew.
