Hill continues to get beat up in May

5/23/2007 7:45 PM

Lou pointed out some features that Hill was missing the other night but he must not have noticed them until after the game. It was too late after Hill had given up 5 runs all together. The key to success for this pitching staff is to have good quality starts on every game. It seems as though they ease up a bit in the first couple of innings in order to make them selves last longer because the bull pen is struggling so bad.

Rich Hill was able to pitch 6 inning and struck out 8 batters and only walked 2. That kept the run total down. This game had no Cubs batting to support the job Rich Hill did. Sure, Rich could have pitched a brilliant game and allowed no runs. Unfortunately he is human and he can make mistakes from time to time. The Padres only got 5 runs and the Cubs got 1. The Pads even gave up an error and the Cubs out hit them 8 to 6.

How does Rich Hill get all the blame for this loss?

Sean Marshall will be a site for sore eyes tonight.
