Putting the L back
4/22/2007 7:26 PM
I just wonder if keeping
that "L" up there would be easier. Nah!! I like when the Cubs win
even if it is going to be a losing season. Today's game was example of Cubs
spirit from a very talented team. Both teams came into this game with a win
in mind. Miller and Wainwright could not keep the balls from flying out.
Barrett and Ramirez were able to keep the Cubs in the game by crushing
there own. While Wade Miller stuggled on a windy day the bull pen came
through when it needed too. Cotts and Howry could not contain much though.
Miller is losing control
of his ERA now with 10.54 ERA. He was only able to go 4.2 innings and
struck out 3 batters. He didn't walk any one but he gave up 7 runs. The
loss went to Dempster but this ERA spells trouble for Miller. Lou mentioned
in the press conference that he needs to get the 12th pitcher back but if
Miller keeps this up he is going to be sent down along with some one else
(Cough!!CouCedenogh!! Cough!!) Other pitching problems would be Neal Cotts
and Bob Howry. Those will have to be sorted out at a later date.
This was a well fought
game by both teams and a tough loss for the Cubs.
