Time

If time is on the Cubs side we can reflect on the Houston Astros in 2005 when they ended the month of April at 9 – 13. They came back and went to the World Series at the end of the year. This may seem like good news but it doesn’t happen very often. The only thing that can be remembered is that the Cubs over spent on this team and so far the only thing that can be heard is toilets flushing.

The fact is that it isn’t money, it isn’t talent and it isn’t the weather. It is the “swagger”, the “team”, the “chemistry” and heart. The Cubs have every thing that it takes to win but they can’t find what they are longing for. The pitching and the hitting need to sleep together and find each other winning.

Call this crazy season a waste. In the end we have to give the Cubs a lot of credit. They have out done themselves to try and bring this city what it longs for a Chicago Cubs World Series Championship. The bottom line is that the Cubs won’t find the post season until they start playing as a team. While the Zambrano struggled yesterday no one realized it until the 4th inning. No one realized it because the Cubs had a 5 – 0 lead. Every component of the staff plays a part of this season. Zambrano is now an over paid teddy bear with no fire. This is why he is struggling. So if Lou can’t see the pitching problem and Larry can’t see the pitching problem then how long into this season are we going to go before they bring some of the pitching back to this ball club?

Oh! Where the heck is Sean Marshall? Where is Mark Prior? Where is Kerry Wood? Hmmm

I will go out on a limb and say that the Cubs will lose another one today. The Reds aren’t stupid they can figure Rich Hill out. I predict that they will jump all over Rich Hill early and the game will be over before the 4th inning this time.
