The Cubs were able to visit the World Series in the late 1800s and the early 1900s. Except back then I think it was just a championship game and there was the crowds of people that there is today. Click Here to see how the Cubs did in 1906. Also check out the rest of the site because there is a lot of historic information and information of today.   Baseball Library

Cubs Win 2 straight!

4/7/2007 6:00 PM

Carlos Zambrano made a come back debut today and struck out 6 on 7 innings of work. While Z tried to hit the strike zone he was taken deep by Rickie Weeks in the 4th inning. Z is having a rough start but this game was a definite improvement to his outing in Cincinnati. Ramirez hit his first home run of the season to spark the many more that he will have this season as the Cubs beat up on the Brewers 6 to 3. The Cubs lineup has been a change that every one has expected in the past but never got to see. Sweet Lou knows that all his players need to stay healthy through the whole season. There is no reason to over extend these guys this early in the season. Ryan Theriot is a primary example as he has played in all 5 games but has not started one of them. Look forward to getting to more of Theriot in the future.
